Tips That'll Make Ya a Better V-32 Captain

With its gleaming hull, varnished wood deck and bright sails the V-32 really stands out in a crowd. It is the only kit boat that is offered in such a wide variety of both hull (7) and sail (10) colors allowing you to customize your yacht to suit your own unique taste. Although the V-32 is a beautiful boat right out of the box there are some neat things you can do with graphics to make it a show stopper.

All around tips and hints
The AMYA featured the V-32 in their quarterly Model Yachting Magazine in their Summer 2004 (#136) issue.  They've also created a "Readers Digest" version of that viewable or downloadable as an Adobe Acrobat PDF File.

A Better Boom Pivot

The main boom pivot that comes with the V-32 tends to bind. Here is a standard fix that many V-32 skippers adopt. Remove the single eyelet from the main mast. move it up slightly and place a second eyelet below it. Run a small bolt and lock nut through the mast eyelets and capture the boom eyelet with the bolt. Note: The V-32 kit now ships with the hardware for this modification.
